I recently posted in the general forum asking what people were referring to when they talked about their "average" speed. I average around 13-13.5 and cruise at around 14-16. A few people proclaimed my usual average of around 13mph was R---E---A---L---L---Y---S---L---O---W. It's all relative. I blow past many others on the trail and also get blown past just as often.
