Bikes: Bacchetta Belladare, long wheelbase

I had a guy try something stupid with me a few years ago. I was on the way home on my Actionbent short wheel base recumbent. I had to cross the bridge, and then make a left turn across traffic to get on the street where we were living at the time. I came up on the bridge, got half way across, checked my mirror for traffic and took the lane, and then had to stop for on-coming traffic to cross. A fellow in a little pickup truck began honking his horn behind me, and I ignored him. Then he pulled up next to me, with his truck out on the shoulder of the road (could have gone by had he wanted to) and started screaming for me to "get that piece of S%&T off the road!" I gave him a one finger salute and told him to "F&%K OFF". He swung the door open and came out at me, I dropped the bike and turned towards him, all 6'-4" of me and 260lbs. He was about 5'-7" and 165 at best. Suddenly he decided it was better to just get in the truck and leave. I picked up the bike, as traffic cleared and rode home. Last time I ever had a problem....
