I'm considering replacing my current road bike that has a TIG welded Reynolds 853 frame (and late-90s Shimano Ultegra components) with one with a lugged Columbus 858 Nivachrome double butted frame (and 2011 Campy Veloce components). How do these frames compare as far as weight, stiffness, ride? I ride more recreationally than for sport. Would I even notice a difference?
