agreed on BMI, it is a BS quick reference that simply doesn't work for many fit, healthy, athletic persons. it only works for those with a slim build and light musculature, which actually does cover many cyclists but what about soccer players? Swimmers are probably 'overweight' as well by BMI, they have considerable musculature. Football players actually are overweight, though.
regarding assumptions about JoelS, I saw some comments regarding his overall finances that were possibly overstated. but the two things I cited are not assumptions, they are things he said which appear incongruous. either he's got the money, or he shouldn't have bought 2 expensive bicycles.
