AFAIK, nearly all 110mm bcd (big) chainrings are made of Al alloy. I just searched QBP using link above in #2, not a single steel ring. This is most likely due to low/no demand, which in turn is likely due to the extra >100g weight you'd add to a crankset making the big ring from steel instead of Al.
I can assure you a big ring in Al will last a long time. Most people wear out only the middle ring anyway, and then only when it's Al and not steel.
Surly makes 110 bcd SS rings, not ramped/pinned, but these will still work fine in a triple crank, just won't shift as lightning fast as the others. Believe it or not, all chainrings were made this way only 20 years ago. Someone (Shimano?) introduced this innovation in the mid 90s. I have 3 bikes missing this modern innovation, and they seem to shift as good as the ones with ramped/pinned chainreings (in fact one shifts better).
