Also check that the cable is truly free, especially for the rear brake. Often a cable cut a bit too long or too short pushes or pulls on the arm making balancing difficult. Thanks. I'm getting what you are saying with the screws but as far as the cable being free I loosened the nut holding the cable in place and pulled some through, making it a bit shorter. That's the only way I could see to make the adjustment.

I will go add a bit of oil then work the pivot tension.
