Bikes: A bunch of old bikes and a few new ones

If you're not worried about staying with campy, there are plenty of longer reach Japanese brakes out there. You might be able to find a drop bolt for a brake but I haven't seen one for a long time. It's not that campy switched over to short reach so much as it is that styles for bikes changed. Racing bikes all more or less standardized on what used to be called short reach brakes (and which now would be called standard reach I guess; 39-49 mm). Older road bikes take a longer reach and that is a plus, I think, because it gives you more flexibility with tire sizes.
