Yes that's right.

Last night I was riding home in a downpour. Maybe 15 minutes into the ride my eyes started stinging, eventually getting to the point where I couldn't keep them open and had to stop for a couple of minutes.

It wasn't that the rain was hitting my eyeballs. It was coming pretty much straight down. Months of dried salt from sweat and who knows what else had been collecting in my helmet pads and now it was washing into my eyes.

Ouch !
