Hopefully you paid less for your paramount than the seller (caleb) is now asking for this frejus: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1940s-frejus...t_12800wt_1262
No, I didn't pay quite that much. But the description is word for word the description he used for mine.

Quick update on mine: The NOS Cinelli stem arrived yesterday. Surprisingly, it was, in fact, 120mm/26mm. I really needed the 26mm so I could use the TTT bars I so favor over my beautiful vintage Cinellis. I made one serious screw-up. As "repechage" pointed out, the spindle tapers should have a light film of oil. I'd forgotten about this so I'll have to pop off the cranks and re-do them. No biggie, they were not fully tightened and I do have the proper extraction tools.

After this project, there is an old Motobecane hanging from the rafters in the garage of a house I bought last year. I don't know anything about it. It was there when I bought the house and I've yet to take it down to even inspect it. All last summer I was recovering from prostate surgery so I didn't even think about bikes, not even the potential gem in my garage. One thing I did notice is that it has the old Sun Tour bar-end shifters. I'm only guessing it might be mid 70's to mid 80s. Yesterday, I read that Motobecane has folded and is now made in China. What a bloody shame. The bike should be a fun project and I won't have to search the globe for parts. It appears to be complete and 100% original. Hopefully, its not just some cheapo POS.
