I used to work in a shop where we mainly sold Peugeots. The finish level wasn't always the best ( the finish level is very good, though, on the bike in the pictures) but the bikes were, by and large, built right. The parts were solid (the delrin derailleurs were flaky and tend to melt, though). The Normandy high flange hubs that came on so many of the bikes were pretty reasonable for the day. Peugeots tended to have good wheelsets (this bike certainly does). A lot of manufacturers will short you on the rims and wheels are where you tend to have problems first on a bike for obvious reasons. I've been keeping my eye out for a PX-10, a UO-10, or a VX-40 (which I think was one of the coolest 3 speeds ever imported into the US). But then you can never have too many bikes or too many Peugeots,
