Nah, keep them. They're one of the few apparatus that require no maintenance and are good to go right away.

You never know - in the dead of a winter, or in the dead of dark, you'll likely get the hankering to spin away just for kicks. They're not all bad. Your setup was pretty sweet as well - def keep that one just for bragging rights that you rigged it yourself.
