The Bike comes with IRC Trailbear 2.25 tires. I wanted to go bigger so I borrowed the Panarancer 2.4 tires from my friend to see if they would fit. I wanted to try to go as big as 2.5 or 2.6 because I know I have the clearance but I didnt think the tire knubs would rub against the front derailleur. Is there a way to adjust the derailleur? Raise it a bit? I really do want to go bigger than 2.25 and there has to be a way.
Ive never loaded pics so unfortunatly I can't do it. Just imagine the bike is on the ground and you are looking straight down onto the derailler. The inner right side is rubbing against the tire.
There is clearance and there is clearance. Chainstay clearance does not necessarily translate to to clearance elsewhere. Raising the FD a significant amount will hose shifting. Maybe the derailer is mal aligned laterally?
