14 speed road bike conversion into fixie

I "owned" a 700c Men's Schwinn Varsity Road Bike and put some good mileage on it. Then I started having issues with the bottom bracket, brakes, and scratches so I decided it was time to try riding a fixie. I stripped the entire bike and sanded down the exterior paint and decals. Then I got a new bottom bracket, wheels, tires, handlebar, brake system, cog, chain. The only thing I kept from the original bike was the frame, fork, seat, crank, chain ring, stem, and pedals. The entire sanding process was probably the most tiring, but after that everything wasn't too bad. I enjoy riding a fixie, since I never went on long rides with my road bike. Mostly used it as commute. (went to UC Davis)
