I started with the "on your lefts" and eventually bought an Incredibell (can hardly even see it). People that are plugged in won't hear me anyway, so it saves me from constantly yelling. Not surprisingly, I've only heard one other cyclist on my local MUP announce with a bell in the last three years. Most just whiz by and assume people will know they're there. Crazy.
