Just a heads up to those who want a late start, it seems the later you start out the more crowded the roads are with cyclist. Last year I did the ride for the first time in years and didn't hit the road till around 9AM and I can't remember ever being on the road out of sight of other riders. I didn't pre-register this year, but if the weather looks good and I can get up out of bed early enough to drive to the start by between 7 and 8 then I'll do it. (Luckily I live only about 30 or 40 minutes north.)
