+1 on the previous posts.

I have a Trek 7100. It was the cheapest bike in the store at the time I bought it - in 2008. The only problem I had w/ the bike was I kept busting spokes on the back wheel. I upgraded the wheel and rode the heck out of it for about a year. Then I met a woman, had a bit of a romance, got married and got lazy.

I just picked up riding again - and I was heavier than I was in 2008. Started riding the heck out of the bike and had the same problem I had in 2008. Upgraded the back wheel again (got lucky and got a deal on a hand-build wheel made by a guy that's been a bike mechanic since he was a kid in the 1980's). Still love the bike - even though it was the "cheapest in the store".

My goal is to get/build a touring bike when I lose 50 pounds - because my longer-term goal is to go on a lengthy bicycle tour. Until then I'll keep riding my "cheap Trek" and be happy w/ it. It might not have the latest, greatest components, but it's a very nice bicycle.

I imagine the same is true of the Giant Sedona.
