I think there are only two ratios used in modern Campy indexed ergos-- pre 2001 and post 2001. All 8 speed is pre 2001, all 10 speed is post 2001. Only 9 speed straddles the line. So a pre-2001 9 speed long cage rd should work just fine with 8 speed ergos.

You can identify pre-2001 RD's by the location of the B-Screw. If it is on the hanger it is pre-2001, if on the cage it is post 2001.

And then any triple front RD should work
