Small frame: carbon v steel
So, I've been thinking and seeking comments on my carbon v. steel debate. (I really have taken a liking to both!) It occured to me that the weight difference becomes greater on larger frames. A 62 cm steel frame could weigh quite a bit. Also, angles on a small frame are tighter. Thus, the advantages of lighter weight and stiffness often attributed to carbon-fiber (fibre??) are less relevant on a small frame. For me, a 155lb rider on a 52cm frame, steel might just be as good or preferable to CF (assuming I like the ride of each equally). Is my thinking on this making sense or am I just getting addled?
