Mainly because the song we were playing was one me and this woman had rehearsed for 10 mins in a rainy parking lot. Later I was just playing the guitar with some guys up on stage and then I got to lead the band and sing on a blues standard I'm quite familiar with and that last number was the one that went well. Getting more confident in my lead guitar playing, which really makes it a blast.

I greatly prefer playing to the singing/playing, but it's the singing that may help land me in more playing situations, so sing I must.
Joe Bonamassa is from your neck of the woods. When he was younger, in Bloodline, he had no idea he had a voice. Already a prodigy, once he discovered his voice was decent, he just plain took off. I saw him here in Colorado Springs for $5 in 2003. He has now played Albert Hall and I cannot afford tickets, but I can say I saw him when he was unknown.

It's not too late for you, Pcad. Keep playing and singing. You're probably better than your self-deprecating self wants to admit.

Bonamassa live at Pierre's. Shot in 2001. The final ten minutes are mind-blowing.
