Cracked Teeth on FSA SLK Crankset
I posted a while back about a problem I was having with my new Specialized Roubaix chainring.
In that time I know have three of the four identical teeth on this ring with cracks. The teeth are the ones just to the left of the pin. The ramping on the back of the ring cuts right through these teeth exactly where the cracks are happening. I contacted FSA and their answer is and I quote "That kind of tooth damage is common on a Shimano 10 speed compatible chainring. It is the kind of thing our warranty guy may or may not cover."
The bike and the ring have about 100 miles on it. Please tell me that this kind of thing is not common for at least another 900 or so miles.
I'll post another pic so that the problem is clear.
I've never owned this brand or kind of chainring/chrankset before and I'm uncertain as to what to expect.
Can anyone out there clue me in?
Thanks (pic to follow)
