1989 Raleigh Team Pro Track - a quick visual study

Granted, there isn't much to differentiate this frame from an earlier model, except that it carries a standard W serial number (WA9....), following the demise of the SBDU in 1987. Headbadge is the later UK-style, rivet-less aluminum variant with italicized lettering.

Appears to have Cinelli lugs, as to be expected of the team frames. Not shown is the fork, which has a Zeus 2001 flat fork crown.

An interesting beast, no doubt. Goes to show that the nicest of traditional frames may not necessarily have all the appeal (namely, SBDU provenance) expected of their virtually identical cousins of earlier (or, in some cases, later) production. Essentially an identical frame to a 1987 Team Pro Track; yet, this one probably has 50% less snob appeal over a serial number (despite being far less common). Go figure.
