Yeah that might be bad-for many-might be good for some of course- but who knows.

Unfortunately if you hook up with the"Global Warming" folks you immediately lose 1/2(maybe 49% we'll see in this election) the people.

Might work better to suggest bike use will decrease the use of foreign oil-give evil nuke producing furriners less money.
Who can resist that- it would be unamerican to speak against it.

And yes we need more simple sturdy bikes- maybe more 3 wheel upright bikes for oldsters and the less adept-big baskets-go to grocery-probably harder to steal a bigger bike-easier to lock it
I use WTB nanorapter 2.1 tires-they are low RR-have raised center strip to lower RR- but have some lugs to give grip on grass etc-and you can pump them up to 70+ psi-
There are also lots of 1.25 and 1.5" street type 26"-cheap ones- Nashbar and name brands.
