There's a lot of softies in this thread, eating, drinking, water, rest, padded shorts, tampons, new saddle. I'm surprised no one said HTFU.
My only advice was going to be drink some mountain dew and water before the ride, and stuff your face with oatmeal.
I guess I'm used to a bike messengers job or an alley cat type race. I also ride 40-60miles/day. Sounds like you'll be more prepared for the next one!
