I happen to like fixing things, and bicycling is super cheap for me. (Fortunately, or I wouldn't be able to do it.) All of my bikes and a whole stockpile of parts, were rescued from alleys on garbage day.

I do buy stuff, mostly tubes, rear view mirrors, lights, etc, but even those are not very often.

Maybe it is another form of wealth, come to think of it. A problem with a toaster is more interesting than most tv shows to me. It's just an attitude I appreciate. I haven't had a tv for a couple of years and won't be getting one.
