"Amazon Export Sales, Inc" sells the light to NZ. that's where i bought it from.
if i knew cygolite was going to turn it into a problem, i probably could have sorted it out through amazon. but the busted light as at cygolite hq.
there's nothing wrong with charging return shipping for warranty returns... but it is a problem when they ask me to pay return shipping after they receive the old light; and the warranty doesn't say anything about return shipping.
