I can finally go on with my life! Got off the phone this morning with a rep who coincidentally happens to be a cyclist and it turns out my bike was left on the tarmac most likely to a TSA hold up and wound up going on a free trip to denver after being missed by the ground crew.
For the record I checked in 2 hours ahead of boarding with the bike loaded to TSA guidelines. My planned 3 day weekend's ruined but I'm just plain glad at this point. Not to mention a voucher covering my bike's fare and half of mine.
