This is correct. you get a little corrosion on the metal parts and the movement squeaks a bit. Lube all the connection points, both front and back and it will (should) go away. Use oil or heat it up with a hair dryer and add some of your Brooks Proofhide. If you go to great lengths to remove this creak and it just won't go away, it's cause it's not your saddle, but something else. For me it was my bottom bracket bearing. I chased that wild goose around the block for 2 weeks.
I'm certain it's the saddle. It's plainly obvious the sound is from the brooks. I'll try slightly loosening the bolts that hold the springs and lube them before re-tightening them. I won't be able to do this for some time because I won't have my bike with me for some time (I'm a college student and I won't be home for another week). But when I'm at my bike again, I'm going to see if I can get rid of the noise.
