Those cranks are prone to breaking catastrophically unless they have been properly treated... I am the only authorized Shimano 600 tri colour service shop in North America and would be happy to dispose of those for you in the name of safety.
Seriously... I have my own little Shimano 600 project going on and am just waiting on my brifters and brakes to arrive and need to build wheels around my hubs.
It is a really sweet group.
