A quill to threadless converter is not so long.. + you can find many more stems
from the threadless type now a days.
an adjustable angle stem can be sloped down too,
if you want that 'down on all 4s' ride posture, ... like doing pushups.
you may resell that stem that is not right , then, rather than butcher it.
