Hey now - you've been here almost as long as me so you should remember.

A poster (can't remember who ATM - will kick myself for not remembering later ) used to have a regular encounter with someone not too different from what you're describing. He dubbed this person 'the Knave'. He ended up with a small series of threads about it that were somewhat popular. I then posted 'Meet the new Knave. Not the same as the Old Knave' about a similar encounter I had. Basically Knave is becoming a silly nonsensical 41 term for a person dressed like your hippie who tries to show up a lycra clad road cyclist (who they probably think is elitist) on a bike without the roadie knowing initially.
