I think it also depends on how big you are--I do a lot of men's 3/4 crits, and my AP is almost always around 170-180, NP around 200-210. Last week was a flat, windy race: 50 minutes, 26mph, AP 180, NP 202. I can't average 240+ for more than about 5 minutes, so it's certainly possible to hide out in crits with a lot less than that.
