Left the house at 5:30. The forecast had said chance of showers but it didn't look too bad so I went ahead and started out. Then, the rain came. And the roads were already wet. Every time I looked back, there was a fountain springing up from my back wheel (no fenders yet). I was soaked by the time I got there (fortunately I don't wear my work clothes on the bike). Had to go around in squeaky, damp shoes all day though

The ride home was amazing. Sunny, warm, minimal head wind. I managed to keep a great pace and when I got to my driveway I felt like I could have gone another 50 miles. Great day with lessons learned about rain
