Got a bonus commute on Friday. I was going to drive because I was meeting my wife for dinner after work and thunderstorms were expected in the afternoon, but decided to ride into work in the morning and catch a ride home with my wife. The thunderstorms showed up while we were eating dinner, but the rain stopped and roads dried by the time were finished walking around downtown, so I ended up riding home afterall. Fortunately my headlight had enough charge left in the battery to get me home because I didn't have a backup light like I do in the winter. Didn't get home until 9:30-10 pm, which was kind of strange.
Had another fast morning commute today, despite riding a metric century yesterday. Usually my legs are tired on Monday mornings from long weekend rides, but they felt surprisingly fresh this morning. I'll probably pay for it this afternoon.
