there are a few things you might need like a patch kit, chain lube, helmet, floor pump. stuff like that.

but people get a little too excited with needlessly replacing parts just to do it. i've been guilty plenty of times.

the most important thing to do is to ride your bike. then maybe you'll be able to appreciate the upgrades later on.

that being said. the only things that might be worth it to change right away are your contact points. saddle, pedals, and handle bars/tape/grips.
