The seat tube clearance is not where i ride it. I had the seat off to remove the gel cover, and just quickly replace it to take pics. I do have about 1" of standover clearance,....just read where on MTB's the recommendation was 3".

.....however, i am older now at near 56, and will not likely be riding anywhere but on the sidewalks and street ocassionally to get a workout. So as a "road" bike,...the 1" clearance should be ok.
