Picking up an old Trek 1000 to try out some gears. It's got a 25.4mm clamp quill stem. I don't like traditional bend drop bars and was planning to grab a set of Soma Highway One bars, but they only come in 26.0. Do you know any 25.4 modern compact drop bars? If not, do you think it's plausible to put 26.0 bars in the 25.4 stem with some filing?
