Day 36/Ride 32. 103 miles. Today numbers just didn't reflect reality. It was partly to mostly cloudy all ride and, though the local weather station reports 52% humidity locally right now, I felt like it was over 85% the entire ride. Temps were high 80s/low 90s by the end of the ride - but again, numbers don't tell the story. I downled 3-32 oz Gatorades and 6 liters of water and still felt like I was not hydrating enough. I literally had to wring water out of my socks at the end of the ride. Doesn't bode well for July/August rides.

Despite the cloudiness, road glare was a factor again today. That was surprising. I'm going to start carrying a backup pair of sunglasses, with a green tint if I can find them. I wear over-the-frame sunglasses and I've only seen orange, brown and yellow ones so far. I guess I'll spend the afternoon searching the Internet as I know I haven't seen any locally.
