I'm told by a friend that his surgery this morning was successful, and that he may be up to receiving visitors in a day or two when he gets out of the ICU.

I live rather close to the site of the accident (400 block of Washington St in Norwood) and drove through there today. the street is soooo wide that the motorist either had to be inebriated or out to get Jim.
