my issue with 'hipsters' isnt the style of dress;
its the fact that the sense of fashion and 'hip' also leads them to ride without brakes and to thus blow through stop signs.

Which makes cyclists in general look bad, and creates dangerous situations when I meet them at intersections. The large number of 'custom' fixie advertisements these days does worry me a little...
to be fair, I also have similar issue with automobiles who prioritize fashion over practical function and safety (see SUVs)
