Personally, though, I would want to ride Ventoux on my own bike. I'm funny that way: trip of a lifetime, accomplishment of a lifetime...and I have a nice custom ride I really co-designed. If I had my own Cervelo I'm pretty sure I'd ship it over.

Maybe ship the Cervelo and buy a cheap-ish (or long-term rental deal with guys like the above) on a French city bike?
