I believe you are still missing the point. If you are turning the tool in such a way so that the fixed cup is going to rotate clockwise as you face it from the right side of the frame then you are going in the right direction. Unless the tool slips on the cup your problem is NOT the tool or it's tighness but lack of leverage. A 12" crescent wrench is not even close to what you need in length, and if it's rounding off the tool it's not of good enough strength/quality either, so don't add any kind of extensionto it. 15-16" would be the minimum, and a good quality one at that, with an additional pipe as an extender if needed. But I really think you are better off taking it to a shop. They can probably remove it in a couple minutes in a vise.
