Come to think of it, tubular owners are also welcome to chime in, since the variation in braking performance in cork vs. the platinum pads would apply to tubulars as well. I guess my initial thought was that carbon braking is much more of an issue for clinchers due to the potential for heat buildup and associated blow outs.
