You also need to make sure that the shim extends below the junction of the seat tube and the top tube. Otherwise you will put too much stress on that joint and could end up with a failure there. Based on a
picture I found of a T50, a 3" long shim should do the trick.
Note that the
minimum insertion on a Thudbuster is 100mm (4").
