Very nice bike. The stem looks too high, check the that stem isn't above the minimum insertion line otherwise you risk damaging the steerer threading. Also the "pinging sound" is usually from tight/twisted spokes that are loosened from the lower tension that occurs as you ride and put pressure on rim; you might want to true the wheels and then manually stress the spokes by grabbing a pair and squeezing.
