I'm about 90% sure on this bike that's the case. I have another that's
from about the same era by Faggin that's full Columbus. If I get
a chance soon I'll dig it out and tap the stays and do a side by
side test ride. I'm kinda curious myself.



Could a maker really save that much money at the time buying
butted stays from another manufacturer ? I know that Tretubi
frames were priced lower at retail. I've had pretty good luck with
the few I've owned in terms of stiffness, so I started to assume
that this was one of the reasons for their existence, quite
possibly in error.
