I use a thin brush. The main trick is to get the consistency just right, then it goes quickly and easily. In my other hand I hold a small piece of paper towel dipped in thinner. Any part I screw up I immediately wipe clean. Even if I need to repat 3, 4, 5 times, it still goes fairly quickly, and I get it just the way I want it-- much better than the original factory lining.

How do you do box lining? That seems like another animal altogether.
