All I can say is that if he's had it 3 times in the same leg then the lymphatic system in that leg may be damaged, which makes it more likely to happen again. He should just keep an eye on it and jump on it early if needed.
I goofed in that post. I don't think it's been years since he's had it in the left leg, because it's only been about a year since he started losing weight. But it has been quite a while.
He has a doctor's appointment tomorrow, and he's going to ask the doctor if there's any way to prevent it from happening again.
