That's funny because Aussie popular beer brands are about as close to American popular beer brands as I've tasted around the world. Yes I've been there, for many, many months and many, many beers. Aussies have nothing to brag about when it comes to the popular brands they brew and sell in their own country or export. Tell me that Fosters is any better than Bud. It's just a different labeling of the same grade of popular swill.

As for bias: I'm biased against the Trek brand. Not that I think Treks are bad bikes or that I have even a tiny negative thought about anyone who rides them - I don't. I've rented Treks many times, and have had fun on them.

But I just can't stand the brand - the name, the way they market, the way people actually think it's somehow objectively better than anything else, etc. And this goes back to the very beginnings of the brand, what in the 70s? Just a gimmiky brand name and just rubs me like fingernails on a chalk board.

Irrational bias, no doubt, but the question was asked!
