I have several 80s road bikes that I have changed the wheels. Let me tell you, the looks and the ride is worth the change.. It just so happens I am getting ready to change the wheels on my 86 Schwinn Prelude too..Most of the time I am getting my wheels off Ebay.. Running about $85 to $130 a set.. IMO, not only will your Le Tour ride better it will look better too..
BTW, I nailed 2 sets of wheels off CL too..
