Just thought I would include photos of my 1985 Team Miyata. I bought the frame for a song, but it was in rough shape. I stripped it of rust and paint, and decided to keep the bare steel look. I used acrylic artists paint to add "decals" and gave it a clear coat. The components are all more modern than the frame, and I would still like to replace the stem if the opportunity arises. The bike is smooth, responsive and reasonably agile. Joy to ride, and looks pretty good as well!
Can you post some more pictures including some of the lug areas? I'm curious what the brazing looks like, I can see a little bit on that bottle cage mount. Did you do the clear coat yourself?
